Hello, and welcome!
I’m Sarah Whitehead, and my working life (and most of my home life too!) is dedicated to dogs and cats – their behaviour, training, and our relationships with them. I’m truly passionate about what I do. In fact, as a pet behaviour specialist, I think I have the best job in the world!
I have an MSc in Animal Behaviour, am a full APBC member and have CCAB accreditation (which means I’m a certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist). I’m a creative speaker, an imaginative problem-solver, and a down-to-earth positive reinforcement trainer. My specialities are aggression in dogs, weird and wonderful problems in cats, puppy development, adolescent dog issues, and canine and feline body language and facial expression.
I have been described as the ‘Derren Brown’ of the dog world! As an NLP Master Practitioner, I guess that fits…
My other sites contain a lot of info – and tons of free stuff. I believe in giving away as much information as possible… and there’s always more to discover about the wonderful dogs and cats that share our lives.
So, for all things clicker training and for behavioural help…why not visit www.cleverdogcompany.co.uk Sign up here and you’ll be sent all the new freebies and offers as they come up. And the place to be for accredited educational courses, workshops, seminars, lectures and Masterclasses is: www.thinkdog.org For those interested in learning how to understand dogs’ body language and facial expression, there’s my online Canine Body Language Programme, www.learntotalkdog.com
Finally… be my friend! Here’s my Facebook link. I’ll look forward to meeting you.
As one of the leading canine and feline behavioural specialists in the UK, I think I have the best job in the world!
I am a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT, 0156). I am a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) and an ABTC Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist.
I have an MSc in animal behaviour and I specialise in aggression, puppy development and canine body language and facial expression, as well as weird and wonderful behaviours in cats.
My dogs (and giant cat!)
I am the proud owner of four wonderful dogs. (Pretty restrained I think!) Number one is my Collie/Jack Russell-cross, Tao. She’s a Battersea girl and is 18 years’ old! Number two is Skye – a Samoyed/Border Collie-cross. She went from stray street dog to my princess. She’s the brightest button, and loves agility and bog snorkelling. Mouse is my tiny Chihuahua (but she doesn’t know she’s small) and Quill is my handsome Kooikerhondje (“A what?” I hear you ask!).
I also have a huge Maine Coon cat – who is the apple of my eye…
